The sub-tropical coastal area of the NSW north coast is an unlikely location for a high performing Angus stud but Medlyn Angus cattle have proven themselves in all facets of the industry, resulting in our bulls being highly sought after.

Angus buyers know they can buy from a proven stud. Medlyn Angus have an enviable record in show judging at all levels.

Our customers give great feedback!

  • Our company has been purchasing cattle from Medlyn Angus for several years for our various holdings on the north coast, northern tablelands and western NSW. During this time we have brought both male and females and found these cattle adjusting to the changes in environment very well . We first purchased a couple of bulls we were happy with the results and have continued to do so since the bulls we have selected to suit our business have reasonable amount of scale with that extra length and thickness and have found them to have good temperament and are easy doing. These cattle can be turned off for local trade, feedlots or finished on grass. We have had a good working relationship with John, Ellen and Rodney and have found them helpful with advise and when taking delivery of our purchases. We can only recommend that if thinking buying angus seed stock you don’t overlook this herd .

  • After having Medlyn Angus bulls recommended to me after a conversation with another local producer, who had been using them for several years.  I gave them a go. I have been using them in a cross breeding program, over mainly D/M, Brahman X females myself now, for several years.  I have been pleased with their temperament.  They have handled the ticks, and even though, ours is only light coastal granite country.  They have had good do-ability, even through the dry.  These traits have been passed onto the calves.  I also have found, John, Ellen and Rodney, easy to do business with, whether buying at the sale, or in the paddock.  I will continue to use Medlyn Angus bulls in the future, because they tick all the boxes.

  • The matriarch Regal with her newborn calf by Brooklana Dream H29, Regal is a stunner, she already has a Brisbane Royal winning daughter. Take a bow Medlyn, you sure produced some magnificent cattle, could not get a better looking cow than this, no matter what the colour!
